The vineyard consists of four varietals, namely Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Shiraz. The vineyard macroclimate is moderate to warm, with the vines planted in varying soils across the vineyard block under drip irrigation.
The first harvest of Sauvignon Blanc occurred in 2008, which provided great satisfaction, after battling the elements of flood, drought and bushfires in recent years. The Sauvignon Blanc was harvested early and has been made in a dry aromatic style, ready to drink.
The 2009 harvest is now complete with 5 wines now in production.
The Sauvignon Blanc has an extroadinary balance of tropical fruit and green beans and will be avialable in May '09.
Our first Chardonnay will also be released in May 09 which is made in an unoaked style and ready to drink.
The Pinot Gris is currently sitting on French oak and is displaying hints of pear and honey and will be relased in December '09.
The '09 Shiraz was pressed out last week and shows distinct white pepper character and it will mature on American oak for 9 months before its release in January 2010.
Last but not least, we have produced a Sparkling White, or "Blanc de Blanc" which is a blend of our early harvest Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. We hope to have this wine ready for your xmas celebration in December '09
